Drawer Degaussing:

The DDS-1800 automatically rotates media to be degaussed on an 18 inch round turntable. As the turntable rotates, the drawer automatically opens and moves the rotating turntable outward ensuring complete and even erasure. As the media gradually leaves the degaussing field, the media is left in a magnetically neutral state free of any data, time code or magnetic patterns.

Degaussing Coils:

The DDS-1800 has two high strength AC magnetic coils inside the magnetically shielded chassis. The coils work together to provide a degaussing force strong enough to erase metal particle tape.
