The HDTD-8300 comes standard
with a convenient carrying case, making it easy to erase media in
multiple locations.

The HDTD-8300
larger drawer and increased erasing field is perfect for the IT
department needing to erase both large and small hard drives.
The HDTD-8300 meets compliance
standards for mandates requiring complete elimination of private and
confidential information on hard drives, diskettes and data tapes before
disposal.

The HDTD-8300 is designed
to permanently remove all data and formatting from today's hard drives and
data tapes.
Stored energy is quickly released to produce short, focused erasing fields
that penetrate through the hard drive housing, changing the magnetic
properties contained on the data disk platters. The HDTD-8300 has a
larger energy bank allowing the HDTD-8300 to erase physically larger and
higher coercivity hard drives, a necessity in the ever changing data storage
environment.
Because the HDTD-8300's erasing
field is many times stronger than the writing and erasing heads inside the
hard drive, the HDTD-8300 will provide superior erasure over re-write
programs that rely on the hard drive's internal write heads.
The HDTD-8300 will automatically
erase half-height and current low profile hard drives in all formats including: SCSI and IDE in
addition to DLT, SDLT, 8mm, AIT, diskettes and other formats of magnetic
media. The
HDTD-8200 doesn't rely on software, therefore it will erase all operating
systems. In addition, degaussing is the only way of erasing hard drives that
are not functioning.
New security and privacy
mandates require complete erasure of media containing customer and employee
information before media is re-used or disposed of. Degaussing is the most
reliable and quickest way of meeting these requirements.
